Posts should be reinforced with aluminum inserts. Although it is possible to use pressure-treated lumber, wood inserts are susceptible to rot. Over time, the wood will break down, weakening the fence’s structural integrity. For the longest-lasting and most substantial option, choose an aluminum fence insert. Installation is easy, simply slide it into the post and then install the end cap of your choice.
